Boyle to honour Chris O’Dowd and Paul Young

Actor and writer Chris O’Dowd along with Oscar nominated animator Paul Young are to be honoured by Boyle Town Council for their huge achievements.

Actor and writer Chris O’Dowd along with Oscar nominated animator Paul Young are to be honoured by Boyle Town Council for their huge achievements.

Both men are natives of the town and have brought publicity and limelight to the area following the success in their fields.

Cartoonist Paul Young was nominated in 2010 for an Oscar for The Book of Kells, an animated movie about the journey of the magical book.

Actor and writer Chris O’Dowd brought much publicity to Boyle filming two series of Moone Boy in the town and basing the comedy on the area.

Both men are to be honoured in the town this year to mark their achievements.
