A 36 member syndicate based in Vistamed, Rooskey scooped the €2million lotto jackpot on Saturday.

A 36 member syndicate based in Vistamed, Rooskey scooped the €2million lotto jackpot on Saturday.

The syndicate in the County Leitrim medical devices manufacturer is made up of present and former employees.

They have been doing the lotto syndicate since 2008 - and the lastwin they had was just €100. Now they will each receive €55,555.

“This win is going to change a lot of people’s lives,” one member of the syndicate told the Leitrim Observer.

The ticket was purchased in Reilly’s, Swanlinbar by employee Alan Hogan driving through Cavan on his way home to Belfast on Friday night last.

Warehouse operative, Alan realised he won the lotto after checking the numbers on Sunday morning. He immediately started contacting his work colleagues to break the good news.

The employees from both Vistamed plants in Rooskey and Carrick each contributes €2. They will collect their prizemoney later this week.
