THE Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation will hold a national protest march and rally in Dublin today, Wednesday, February 16. This is the second phase of its campaign to reverse pay cuts to pre-registration nurses and midwives and will be attended by members from all four years of the degree course and supported by qualified members.

They will gather in Parnell Square (north side), at approximately 12 noon and march in uniform, to the Department of Health where a letter, calling on the in-coming Minister to reverse this decision, will be handed in.

Later that afternoon a delegation will meet with some of the political parties to learn of their response to our demand for the cuts to be completely reversed.
