Mohill Community College had a winning outfit in the recent Western Final for Junk Kouture Recycled Fashion Competition 2013 in Castlebar last week.

Mohill Community College had a winning outfit in the recent Western Final for Junk Kouture Recycled Fashion Competition 2013 in Castlebar last week.

‘The Knight’ modelled by David Mulvey was one of 20 winners picked from 84 outfits in total.

The winners were presented with a golden ticket by Yvonne Holmes (ERP) & a Bank of Ireland Representative.

Each of the Western finalists will go on to showcase their designs at the Junk Kouture Grand Finale in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, on April 19.

Elizabeth O’Donnell, co-founder of Junk Kouture has said, “The standard this year was exceptionally high which made the judges decisions extremely difficult. The talent last night was exceptional and we are very excited about the Grand Finale next month.”

Once on the catwalk at the Grand Finale, the Junk Kouture’s expert judgeswill be tasked with the decision of finding the budding designers who will walk away with over €20,000 worth of prizes.

Winner will be announced at the Grand Finale on 19th April.
