The next phase of the much anticipated Rowing Course project at Lough Rinn near Mohill is currently at Design Stage approval.
With Phase one of the project, the refurbishment and extension to the Amenity Building, completed in May this year, Cllr Enda Stenson sought an update on the next stage.
At the December meeting, he was told that Phase Two will involve the construction of an eight lane “Albano Rowing Course” adaptable for rowing and canoeing.
This course is currently at Design Stage approval as part of at Design/Build Contract.
Cllr Stenson welcomed progress on the project and emphasised the importance of such amenities in attracting further investment in the region.
