Manor Rangers have reported an incident of anti-social behaviour at the Bee Park last week which resulted in beer bottles being smashed in and close to the dug outs.

On the club’s Facebook page a message posted last Friday stated, “We discovered at least 20 empty bottles of Budweiser smashed in both dugouts and the immediate vicinity.

“This poses obvious health risks to our young players both on the pitch and for subs using the dug outs. We have removed the broken glass and made the area safe.

“We as a club do our best to ensure that we keep our young players safe from all eventualities but we can’t account for vandalism and mindless thugs who engage in this kind of behaviour.”

The club are asking anyone who observes anti-social behaviour in the area of the Bee Park to contact a committee member “and also ring the Garda Station so these thugs can be prosecuted.”
