One bookshop in Co Leitrim, The Reading Room, Carrick-on-Shannon, is in with a chance of being shortlisted in this year’s search for the Bord Gáis Energy Bookshop of the Year.

With only a short time left to vote the competition is ramping up for this prestigious title. Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 14th October, so now is the time to support the local bookshop that holds a special place in your heart by casting your vote at the Bord Gais Energy Book Club website

The Bord Gáis Energy Bookshop of the Year award was introduced last year to recognise and support bookshops who contribute so much to local communities and the Irish book industry. Vote now and be in with the chance to win one of two prizes of €500 of electricity from Bord Gáis Energy, a €500 holiday voucher and many other prizes!

Five bookshops across five regions, Ulster, Munster, Connacht, Leinster and greater Dublin, will make the shortlist which will be announced on Thursday, 25th October. The overall winner will be revealed at the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards ceremony in the RDS on 22nd November.
