Award-winning chef Neven Maguire of MacNean House and Restaurant has been awarded the prestigious Best Chef and Best Restaurant awards in Cavan at the Ulster regional finals of the Irish Restaurant Awards recently held in Belfast.

“We have a great team at the restaurant and to receive the award for Best Restaurant in Cavan is a testament to their hard work and dedication. I was delighted to receive Best Chef“ said Head Chef/owner of MacNean House & Restaurant, Neven Maguire.

“These awards are decided by a voting process and we are so appreciative and thankful for the support of those in Blacklion and across the region.

“We are hugely proud to be going forward to the national awards and look forward to a great night out.”

Neven is one of Ireland’s most popular chefs and has achieved numerous accolades for his skills in the kitchen as well as for his MacNean House & Restaurant.

His current RTÉ TV series ‘Home Chef’ is breaking records with an average of over 480,000 viewers tuning in to each show.

The multiple award-winning MacNean House & Restaurant employs a team of 50 staff and makes a substantial contribution to the local economy of Blacklion and the surrounding areas.

Neven and MacNean House & Restaurant will now go forward to the national Irish Restaurant Awards being held in Dublin’s Burlington Hotel on Wednesday, June 10th where the overall Irish winners will be announced.
