Photo Brian Farrell.Cathal Gaffney the two time Oscar-nomineeand CEO of animation company Brown Bag Films launched Harnessing Creativity,  an EU funded cross-border project which will support 200 creative and 100 mainstream companies in the region.The �880,000 initiative   will encourage collaboration between writers,artists, sculptors, designers or  othercreative operators with  more mainstreamenterprises. Joe LoweCEO of Leitrim county Enterprise Board revealed that a �1.2m purpose built TechnologyEnterprise Centre will open in Carrick on Shannon  this summer, further underpinning the importanceof the creative sector in the region.

Harnessing Creativity brings together creative experts from architecture to film, design to photography and music to technology from Leitrim, Fermanagh & Tyrone.

The Exhibition and Seminar opens at 6pm on Friday, September 20. There will be information sessions throughout the week from guest speakers.

On September 26th join the Science Gallery’s Makeshop where you can learn everything from DIY robotics to 3D printing. The Beyond Territories Seminar will be on September 27th in The Dock, Carrick, chaired by TV3’s Colette Fitzpatrick and including speakers Brendan Byrne, Rory O’Connor and Anita Murphy, Brendan Canty & Conal Thomson.
