FISA World Tour in Carrick

Another lovely June Sunday morning in Carrick-on-Shannon to say farewell to rowers from Australia, Canada, USA, Argentina, Zimbabwe, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland to name just a few of the 18 countries taking part. Carrick-on-Shannon Rowing Club was the start of a marathon rowing trip that goes down the Shannon all the way to Limerick. They are also accompanied by 11 cyclists who will follow the same route by land.

In fact, rowers from 18 countries took part in the FISA World Tour. Carrick-on-Shannon Rowing Club was the start of a marathon rowing trip that finishes in Limerick. The rowers are being joined by 11 cyclists who will follow them by land.
