RTÉ are producing a series of adverts to commemorate 1916 with each advert featuring communities from different counties commemorating the Centenary. The adverts will be launched in late March.

RTÉ producer, Jean Devlin was particularly interested In Kiltyclogher's plans to hold a candlit 'vigil' ceremony on May 11, the eve of Seán MacDiarmada's execution and hopes to create a version of the event next Saturday, February 13 at 2.30pm at the MacDiarmada monument.

Filming will begin at 2.30 and should last no longer than two hours, the public are invited to come along and participate. If you are interested in being a part of this please come to Kiltyclogher Heritage Centre which is beside the monument. Participants are asked to bring a candle or torch with them and are advised to dress sensibly bearing in mind the possibility of changeable weather.
