Leitrim County Council nominated for recycling award

Leitrim County Council has been announced to represent Co Leitrim at the 2016 Pakman awards. Leitrim County Council has been nominated in the Community Recycling Project of the Year category and will be amongst the shortlist of nominees, which includes ReCreate Ireland and Revamp 3R Furniture Store.
To be considered for this award, nominees must be proactive in starting environmental related projects within their local area. Applicants need to demonstrate how they have raised awareness in their communities regarding topics such as composting, re-use, recycling, waste minimisation, educational talks etc. Candidates had to present details of how they have created and sustained this project.
The Pakman Award is one of the highest accolades any organisation, company, community group or individual in Ireland can achieve for their environmental and sustainability efforts.
This prestigious award is only applicable to each winner from the 12 award categories.
Mulleadys Ltd has also been nominated in Waste Collection Operator of the Year (Small) category.
This year’s Pakman Awards will be held on the evening of Thursday, October 27 in Dublin.
