Mohill Family Support Centre and Rossinver Youth and Community Project both recently received €2,750 each for an action learning project they both recently took part in.

The International Fund for Ireland, in conjunction with Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA), celebrated the end of the third year of the £2.1 million Community Leadership Programme (CLP) on Friday, February 24th. The event, which included a final round-table meeting and presentation of certificates, took place in the Slieve Russell Hotel, Co Cavan.

Along with the Leitrim groups, 40 other groups successfully participated in year three of the CLP, completing ten action learning sessions on subjects ranging from leadership and management, to marketing, communication and governance. These ranged from cross community engagement events, to marketing initiatives, helping groups better communicate their activities to their local communities. Each group received £2,500 (€2,750).

A spokesperson for the Rossinver Group stated: “This programme has brought the community closer together, it has improved the skills of the group and given us a clear vision and a chance of achieving those goals.”
