Planning appeal on Manor retail premises

An appeal has been lodged to An Bord Pleanala following the granting of planning permission for a retail unit in Manorhamilton.

An appeal has been lodged to An Bord Pleanala following the granting of planning permission for a retail unit in Manorhamilton.

Last month Leitrim County Council granted permission for the development by Monread Developments Ltd at New Line, Manorhamilton. The development comprises a single level retail store with a gross floor area of 1,534sqm, subsidiary alcohol sales area, staff facilities, an ESB substation, ancillary plant and 124 car parking spaces. The plans also provides for new access arrangements from the N16 to Clooneen Park.

An appeal has now been lodged by RGDATA, the representative organisation for independent family grocers in Ireland, with the case due to be decided by September 13, 2012.
