Castle View B&B, located just outside Dromahair and overlooking Lough Gill has been awarded a prestigious tourism award by the world’s largest travel website.

TripAdvisor awarded the certificate of excellence to Dromahair native JJ O’Hara last week.

Certificate of Excellence winners include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a superior customer experience.

TripAdvisor makes up the largest travel community in the world, reaching 340 million unique monthly visitors, covering more than 4.9 million accommodations, restaurants and attractions.

“Trip Advisor is pleased to honour exceptional hospitality businesses that have received consistent praise and recognition by travellers on the site,” said Marc Charron President, TripAdvisor for Business.

He expressed his delight responding to the award recognition saying, “For me its easy because I enjoy sharing the area I love with my guests, and I am blessed to wake up to the view of Lough Gill before me.

“There’s no better honour in my eyes than to get this award because it comes from the people that have been visiting me here in my home.’

JJ has running the B&B for three years and is also the Chairman of Leitrim Tourism Network, JJ is planning a new venture in the region soon to be launched and based in O’Connell Street, Sligo.

“We will be providing a mentoring and marketing hub for up and coming businesses with office spaces in the heart of Sligo town.

“There, young business ideas can get practical support to get up and running, while we’ll be renting a space for a really reasonable rate.

“We think its going to be a real hit.

“We love the region and we know we have business skills to help support others and help create jobs in the area too.”
