Cllr McSharry unavailable due to illness

Manorhamilton Sinn Fein Councillor Sean McSharry has informed the Leitrim Observer that he will be returning to normal political duties shortly.

Manorhamilton Sinn Fein Councillor Sean McSharry has informed the Leitrim Observer that he will be returning to normal political duties shortly.

Cllr McSharry has been missing from Leitrim County Council functions and meetings over the past two weeks. In a statement to the paper last week, Cllr McSharry said “Due to illness and on medical advice, I have been unavailable for duties.” He goes on to “ask my work colleagues and constituents to bare with me” he said that he hopes to be back on duty “as soon as possible.”

The next meeting of Leitrim County Council undernew Cathaoirleach Independent Cllr Enda Stenson will be next Monday, July 9. Last week Sinn Fein welcomed Bundoran Town Councillor Dermott Doherty to the party. Bundoran is now within the boundaries of the new Leitrim-Sligo constituency.
