Any woman will tell you that her hair is her crowning glory and that makes the sacrifice of Lu Brennan all the more amazing. Lu is taking part in this year’s Today FM Shave Or Dye 2012 for the Irish Cancer Society. As part of her fundraising effort Lu will be shaving off her dark locks for charity.
“I have spent the last three to four years growing my hair and I have finally gotten it just past shoulder length. I am now going to shave it all off to raise much need funds for the Cancer Society,” she notes on her mycharity.ie website http://www.mycharity.ie/fundPageTemplateX.php?urlRef=lu_brennan_shaveallmyhairoff
“I have lost so many members of my family and friends to Cancer so it is time for me to help out in some way towards research to help end this heartache. I will be having all my hair shaved off on Tuesday, April 17th at 5pm in R n V’s haircare in Carrick on Shannon.”
Today FM’s Shave or Dye is an annual charity drive to benefit the Irish Cancer Society.
You can also make a donation in person at R n V’s salon on April 17.
