Retail Excellence Ireland (REI), with the support of over 6,000 leading retail stores throughout Ireland, is calling on citizens and stakeholders across Ireland to rate their local town and city and have their say as to what makes a great town.
REI will send a team of researchers out to Ireland’s most populated 100 Towns and Cities to gauge how both citizens and business owners feel their local town or city is performing. People can also provide feedback by visiting the REI website (www.retailexcellence.ie ) and completing a very brief survey.
This measurement of town management performance is the second phase of the REI Town and City Management Framework, which was launched in July to help will revitalise towns and cities across Ireland. From this process, REI will publish the findings, disseminate best town management practice in Ireland and actively promote such practice in all towns and cities across Ireland”.
David Fitzsimons, Chief Executive Officer, Retail Excellence Ireland said “REI is committed to continuing to support and enhance the consumer retail experience by developing initiatives, such as this, and promote a vibrant and competitive world class retail industry in Ireland. I encourage everyone to get involved and complete this survey so the feedback can be used to rank Ireland’s Top 100 Towns and Cities and provide guidance as to what makes a town great”.
This initiative is supported by the REI Town and City Management Committee, Independent News and Media and over 6,000 stores countrywide.
