Come and help Carrick-on-Shannon Heritage Group record the local streetscapes for posterity.

On Tuesday, 20th August 2013 the Twin Traditions Initiative (TTI) promoted by Carrick-on-Shannon will be opening a photographic exhibition in The Jury Room of The Dock.

This exhibition, the Past, Present and Future, will comprise of local images of places and people from different eras.

You might be able to help us identify some of the local people in the photographs, sourced as far away as Australia.

It is hoped these images will inspire people to assist us to record the current landscapes with digital cameras supplied by TTI.

There are 15 cameras in total or perhaps some people would like to use their own cameras. If you would like to participate in this project, as an individual or group, (children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult) join us at 2.00pm at exhibition.

Once the cameras and guidelines are distributed participants will be asked to take images and return the cameras to St. George’s Heritage & Visitor Centre at 4.00pm.

The participant names and images will be collated for inclusion in the Carrick-on-Shannon time capsule which will be sealed at the end of the year.

This project is only made possible due to the support received from the International Fund for Ireland, Leitrim County Council, County Leitrim Enterprise Board and Fermanagh District Council.

All are wlecome.
