Major emergency exercise to take place on N4 tomorrow

Motorists are advised that a Live Major Emergency Exercise is scheduled to take place on the N4 Dromod/Rooskey bypass tomorrow, Tuesday December 9th, between 8am and 2pm.

Motorists are advised that a Live Major Emergency Exercise is scheduled to take place on the N4 Dromod/Rooskey bypass tomorrow, Tuesday December 9th, between 8am and 2pm.

This is a multi-agency exercise and will involve Leitrim County Council and Fire Service, An Garda Síochána, Irish Coast Guard, Leitrim Civil Defence and National Ambulance Service. As it is a live exercise there will be a sizeable emergency services presence in and around the N4 Dromod/Rooskey by-pass from approximately 10am to 2pm.

This activity will include the presence of Fire Brigades, An Garda Síochána, Ambulances, Coast Guard Search and Rescue Helicopter and Civil Defence teams. Road diversions will be in place for the duration of the exercise.
