WorK is set to recommence on the N16 in Glencar next month “after the holiday period”.
The news came following a motion by Cllr Frank Dolan, calling for clarification on proposed spending on the national route in 2012.
Cllr Dolan was told that the Local Authority had received an allocation of €400,000 to spend this year.
“This work will recommence in August, after the holiday period,” noted a spokesperson for Leitrim County Council at last Monday’s Council meeting.
Cllr Dolan welcomed the news noting that the N16 remained an important route through the County.
