This week the Leitrim Observer launches the third annual Observer Pub of the Year Awards. We all know the value of our local Pub, whether it be in the centre of a town or in a rural part of the county, the pub is still very much at the “heart of the community”.
It’s the place where you never know who you’re going to meet, you can have the craic with locals and strangers alike, enjoy great entertainment, watch your favourite sport, enjoy a hearty meal and of course, savour a great “pint”. We know people always get a warm welcome in Pubs and Entertainment venues all around the county- whether it be in town or country and the “Pub of the Year Awards” is designed to recognise these great venues.
Pub of the Year 2012 wants to recognise the important of our pubs to the communities where they trade and this is a great opportunity for you to publicise your premises and be in with a chance of being nominated for one or more of the many categories available and, of course, be in with a chance of walking away with the prestigious overall award of Leitrim Observer Pub of the Year 2012.
