The trial two-way traffic system in Boyle has been extended for another three weeks.

The trial two-way traffic system in Boyle has been extended for another three weeks.

A meeting with Roscommon County Council and local traders last week saw different views exchanged on the trial system, but there was consensus that with some small changes the two way system is better for the town. Shop Street is now the only one way street in the town, although discussions to change that are expected shortly. Footpaths in Boyle are due to be reduced in size to provide extra car parking space in the town.

A permanent solution to the town’s traffic system will be decided in the next few months.
