Colreavy takes on new role

Leitrim’s Sinn Fein Deputy Michael Colreavy has been given a new role in the party following a minor reshuffle announced last week.

Manorhamilton’s Colreavy was spokesperson for Agriculture since his election, but last week he took over the responsibility for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources in the party. This role will suit Colreavy in relation to speaking on the matter of fracking which is covered by Natural Resources.

Kerry Deputy Martin Ferris will take Colreavy’s role on Agriculture.

The only other significant change will see Donegal North East Deputy Pádraig MacLochlainn moving from Foreign Affairs to Justice, replacing Jonathan O’Brien, who moves to Education. Seán Crowe will be the party’s new spokesman on Foreign Affairs.

The prime responsibilities of nine of its 14 TDs remain unchanged.
