Oral exams begin this week

Leaving Certificate Students in Leitrim face into their first official exam in the next fortnight, oral exams started on Monday, April 15 and continue until Friday, April 26.

Leaving Certificate Students in Leitrim face into their first official exam in the next fortnight, oral exams started on Monday, April 15 and continue until Friday, April 26.

For the principal modern languages, French, Spanish and German, the oral exam is worth 25% of the overall subject mark, with a substantial 40% of marks in the Irish exam allocated to the oral test.

Orals exams will occur on different days at all seven Leitrim schools in St Clare’s Comprehensive College, Manorhamilton, Lough Allen College, Drumkeerin, Drumshanbo Vocational School, Carrick-on-Shannon Community School, Ballinamore PPS, Mohill Community College and Carrigallen Vocational School.
