Chief Executive of the ETB, Joe McDonagh said that Leitrim’s former VEC tender sub committee which opened tenders did not fit into Corporate Governance.

Chief Executive of the ETB, Joe McDonagh said that Leitrim’s former VEC tender sub committee which opened tenders did not fit into Corporate Governance.

Mr McDonagh said for perception purposes a member from the ETB and a finance officer will now open the tenders. Sean McLoughlin, Leitrim Community Rep said that “the dismissal of the Leitrim board was inappropriately handled.” He said Cllr Francie Gilmartin, Sean Wynne and himself were dropped and they didn’t know why. He said they should have been notified in writing. He said if it had happened in Sligo or Mayo there would have been “fury.”
