Dromod starts preparations for Entente Florale

A public meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 19 in Warren Lodge B&B, Dromod for anyone who wants to get involved with helping Dromod win gold in the Entente Florale competition 2014.

The meeting will begin at 7.30pm and will discuss the upcoming competition, the works that will be taking place in the village in preparation for the competition and how you can become involved.

The two Irish judges for the Entente Florale competition will be in attendance to outline the competition and judging process.

Dromod has been nominated as one of only two Irish entries in the European Entente Florale Competition. The overall aim of the competition is the improvement in quality of life of residents across the participating countries.

Dromod Tidy Towns Committee will be working with various groups including Dromod Development Association, the local business community and residents as well as community and cultural groups in order to promote the opportunity for Dromod to achieve its best in this competition.

Leitrim County Council and Dromod Tidy Towns are already planning the works programme for the competition.

There will be 11 experts judging the village on Wednesday July 30th next. We would encourage anybody who would like to help Dromod win Gold to come along to the public meeting on March 19 to see how you can help.
