Manor-based poet nominated

A Manorhamilton poet has been nominated in the poetry category of the annual 43rd Hennessy Literary Awards.

David Cameron, Manorhamilton has been nominated for his poem ‘Night Singing’ and B&B’.

David is a Scottish poet with family roots in Sligo and Tyrone. He has lived in Leitrim for the past decade and his poems have appeared in such publications as the London Magazine and Stand.

His varied freelance career has involved acting as official reporter for a conference in the Peace Palace of the Hague and occasionally writing speeches for Dutch royals. He also recently published a short novel, The Ghost of Alice Fields.
