With a 10% increase in tenancy sustainment and outreach work in Leitrim in the past year we need your help more than ever this Christmas.

There are several ways you can help the North West Simon Community from now till Christmas.

You can drop into our office on Park Lane Carrick on Shannon anytime to purchase our Christmas Cards or Raffle Tickets. Pack of 10 cards for only €5 and raffle tickets €5 each for 3 for €10.

Sing for Simon is our annual carlathon and takes place on Thurs 19th at the Market Yard with a group of singers and musicians from Drumshanbo PLC course and on Sat 21st The Sing for Simon takes place outside of Menary’s store where individuals and groups will be there to entertain the shoppers.

Edwina Guckian and her Sean Nos dancers will also entertain the busy shoppers. Please support if you are around town on Sat 21st.

On Sun 22nd there will be the largest gathering of Santa hats outside of St. Mary’s Church after 12.00 noon mass you can buy a hat for €2 and wait to get your photo taken. And kids don’t forget you can buy reindeer food at Arigna Mining Experience from now till Christmas to sprinkle on your lawn on Christmas Eve.

The North West Simon Community, one of 8 Simon Communities of Ireland with a main office in Sligo and sub offices in Carrick on Shannon and Letterkenny prevent people from becoming homeless, work with people/families on a one to one to get them back on their feet and run lifeskills courses for single isolated men in Sligo & Leitrim.
