Alzheimer Café Morning: There will be an Alzheimer Cafe mornings in the Glasshouse Hotel on Friday the 14th of June 2013 from 11am to 13:00pm in the View Bar. Dromahair Library: To promote Summer Reading, Dromahair Library is creating a tree with lots of leaves. Every community is creating one, so let’s make the Dromahair one special, to create the tree, children must do a lot of reading. The best readers will be awarded a certificate and medal at a special ceremony. To get involved, just complete the membership form and every book a child reads will result in a leaf being put on the tree along with the child’s name. Monster Charity Bingo: Please support the Monster Charity Bingo Night on Sunday the 16th of June at 9pm in the Bee Park Centre, Manorhamilton in aid of North West Simon Community – www.northwestsimon.ie. North West Simon Community is one of 8 Simon Communities of Ireland, working to prevent people from becoming homeless in Leitrim, Sligo & Donegal through the tenancy sustainment programme, working on a one to one basis with service users in Leitrim and providing life skills programmes in the county. This will be the biggest Bingo in the area with a prize fund of €2,350.00, with the 5th House €300 & the 10th House €500. Books will only cost €10. There will be spot prizes galore on the night. This promises to be a great night for young and the not so young. As 16th June is Father’s Day, It’s an ideal night to treat your dad or Grandad!

North Leitrim Glens Run: North Leitrim Glens Run will take place on Saturday the 6th of July with a start time of 12noon. North Leitrim Glens Run is a non-profit organisation and again we will be raising funds for Charity in 2013. This year you can run or walk in aid of North West Hospice, The Patient Comfort Funds for Arus Breffini and Our Lady’s Hospital, Manorhamilton. We are delighted to have MacManus Pharmacy on board as our main sponsor for 2013. Without their dedicated support and the support of all our sponsors we wouldn’t be able to run this event. Also new for 2013 we have Neven Maguire of McNean House as patron and Neven himself will be taking part in the event. He has also kindly offered 1 Nights B&B and Evening Meal for 2. Everyone who registers for the North Leitrim Glens Run will be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize. On top of that there will of course be the usual range of amazing prizes. This year there will be a change of venue for registration and slight alternations to both 10km and half marathon routes. The routes are still accurately measured by Athletics Ireland and are AAI approved. The new venue for registration is the gym at St Clare’s Comprehensive school which is right beside the finish line. Registration is open on Precision Timing. Exercise with Sue: Boxercise with Sue on Monday’s at 7.15p.m. Followed by Ladies Fun Fitness at 8 p.m. includes aerobics focusing on the bum, tummy, thighs and bingo wings and a deep stretch to help you relax and unwind. Why not try both classes at a discounted price. Boxercise is also on, on Thursdays at 6.45p.m. Classes are held in the Depot, Dromahair.

Dromahair library opening hours: Tuesday 12.30pm – 6.00pm and Friday usual time from 2.30pm – 8.00pm. The library closes for a short break each day between 4.00pm – 4.30pm.

Together One Voice: Come and join ‘Together One Voice’ an ever-expanding Community Choir, in the Glens Centre Manorhamilton. All the singing is taught by ear without sheet music; we cover a wide range of uplifting songs and styles from around the world, from simple chants to more complex pieces in three and four part harmony. Singing is good for the soul they say; it makes you feel great. Classes are on Monday’s from 7.00 - 9.00 pm. The Glens Centre Manorhamilton € 8 per session (€6 concession) you’ll be welcome on the night.

North Leitrim Athletics Club: Training with the North Leitrim Athletics Club continues every Monday at the St. Clare’s Comprehensive Gym Manorhamilton from 7-8pm.

Tennis Coaching in Killargue: Coaching continues on Thursdays and will run right through until the end of September. Sessions will take place at 6pm and 7pm. Each session costs €5. There’s a club membership fee of €25 per family per annum payable at the outset but come along to the court and discuss how this might be paid if there’s a difficulty.
