Gortletteragh

Golden Jubilee Celebration : Congratulations to Father Tom Colreavy, Annaghoney who celebrated his Golden Jubilee as a priest on Saturday evening last, May 31st in his adopted parish of Ayrfield in Dublin city. Fr. Tom has been their very popular parish priest for the past 10 years. At the mass of thanksgiving in St. Paul’s Church he was joined by his family, friends, fellow priests, parishioners - past and present, representatives from the Leitrim Peoples’ Association from Luton and Dublin, his former Leitrim and Gortletteragh teammates, his neighbours from Gortletteragh, who came together to acknowledge and celebrate his 50 years of priestly commitment. After the mass there was a marvellous social evening of chatting, song and music in the local community centre as old friends gathered, reminiscing on old times. Fr. Tom celebrated his first mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Cornageeha back in 1963. We wish him good health and the Lord’s blessing in his present and future ministries.
