Melvin Gaels Lotto Draw: The numbers drawn in the Lotto Draw held in The Dew Drop Inn, Tullaghan on Sunday night, June 9th were 2, 6, 22 and 23. There was no Jackpot winner. The Gathering Weekend in Kinlough: The Kinlough Fair Day is part of ‘The Gathering Weekend’ which takes place on the weekend of 2nd to 5th August 2013. The Fair Day takes place on the Saturday. For Fair Day the festival organisers are seeking: Craftspeople for demonstrations, Exhibitors, Anyone with craft/heritage ideas of interest to the general public. 
Our Fair Day promises to be a fun-filled family event. With craft demonstrations & exhibits, vintage cars & machinery, rare animal breeds, musicians, street entertainment, pub entertainment, top quality food markets and local trade stalls, this is a unique opportunity to be involved and benefit from.

Lots of other activities are planned for the weekend. On the Friday the festivities begin with the Ecumenical Service in St Aidan’s Church, followed by the Official Opening by Norah Casey and Book Launch by Thomas Feeley as well as an exhibition of photos from down the years to include the ‘Mc Gowan Clan’. 
On Sunday there will be a Mountain Walk and Music with STONEFREE at the Community Centre at 5pm. Over the weekend there will be lots of fun to suit all. More help is needed to assist with the activities.

Rossinver Heritage and Cultural Festival: The First Rossinver Heritage and Cultural Festival taking place on Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July 2013 at the Sports Field, Strad-Connolly, Rossinver, County Leitrim (just past the parochial house). Events taking place include dancing, illustrated heritage talks, scenic walks, a heritage day with heritage arts and crafts, a community party and loads more. 
It’s going to be a great community event for people from Rossinver and neighbouring areas and from both sides of the border. Don’t forget to make a date in your diary for the weekend. Rural Tourism Networking and Animation Programme: As part of Leitrim Development Company’s Rural Tourism Networking and Animation Programme, from June to December 2013, eight best practice tourism workshops and networking events will be held. The first of these is being held at the end of June and is suited to those with an existing tourism business / enterprise or those thinking of starting a tourism business / enterprise. The title of the event is ‘Developing your Tourism Business and Effective Networking’. Monster Charity Bingo: Please support Monster Charity Bingo Night on Sun 16th June at 9pm in the Bee Park Centre, Manorhamilton in aid of North West Simon Community – www.northwestsimon.ie North West Simon Community is one of eight Simon Communities of Ireland, working to prevent people from becoming homeless in Leitrim, Sligo & Donegal through the tenancy sustainment programme, working on a one to one basis with service users in Leitrim and providing lifeskills programmes in the county. This will be the biggest Bingo in the area with a prize fund of €2,350.00, with the 5th House €300 & the 10th House €500. Books will only cost €10. There will be spot prizes galore on the night. This promises to be a great night for young and the not so young. As 16th June is Father Day, it’s an ideal night to treat your dad or grandad!

Treasure Hunt Time: Our family Treasure Hunt will take place on Sunday 16th June at 2 pm starting at Kinlough high Scope preschool and ending at the Eco Park at the lake for a fun BBQ and picnic. Everyone is welcome to take part at just €5 per person with teams of 4 to 6 people. We have some great family activity prizes for the first 3 teams so come along and get involved searching for clues it’s a fun afternoon. 
Also a pirate fancy dress competition on the day so get creative would love to see lots of kids and adults get in the spirit. Call 08742161654 to preregister your team or come along on the day. THE GATHERING: A special event is being held in Ballintrillick on Saturday July 27th - Townlands & People. Glenade Ballintrillick Tawley Gathering July 2013. It sounds like its going to be an amazing day! The Gathering Group have lots of things planned and some special guests too. Now as such a large event is being planned, Ballintrillick Environmental Group have decided not to hold their annual Summer Social and Family Funday and instead row in behind this group and help them however we can! Poetry Press Workshops: A Day of Writing: Finding your Poem – Saturday, June 29, 11 am - 6 pm. A Day of Manuscript Response: Strengthening your Poem – Sunday, June 30, 10 am– 5 pm. These two workshops, suitable for both beginner and more experienced writers, will be led by poet and AWA trained writing group leader Monica Corish.
