Gortletteragh

Drumgowna School Reunion Committee:
The big weekend has finally arrived and a great time is in store for all comers. This is a wonderful Gathering Event for the entire parish and will be a great opportunity to meet up with past acquaintances.
The book launch takes place on Saturday night in the Community Centre following 8pm Mass in Cornageeha and copies will be for sale on the night and from any committee member thereafter.
A note to people who have reserved lunch in Lough Rynn; could you please try to pay prior to the event if possible to make things easier for everyone involved on the day. Looking forward to seeing you all at some or other of the events.

Quaint Characters:
Gortletteragh is rich in culture and tradition. Many years ago in the early days of the last century quaint characters were in evidence that curtailed their operations to a pleasant valley in the Gortletteragh parish.
Read all about them in Leitrim Treasure which will be launched in the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon on Wednesday Aug. 7th. Proceedings commence at 8.30 pm with a talk by Mickey Harte on “The Value of Community”. Admission free. Refreshments served. Everyone welcome.

Simon Collection:
The North West Simon Community will be holding their annual church gate collection at the following churches, Mohill, Eslin, Gortletteragh the weekend of Sat 10th and Sun 11th of August. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
