Annual Car Boot Sale:
The Annual Car Boot Sale in the grounds of the Church of Ireland Kinlough will take place on Sunday August 25th from 10am to 2pm. This very popular annual event is always an opportunity tom pick up a bargain and is a great community event. There will be tea rooms, fun stalls, bric a brack stalls , books, clothing etc. If you would like to book a stall ( cost €15) or donate items to the Church stall phone Jane on 0874161654. From Glack to Bunduff: 
A history of Kinlough Parish by Thomas Feeley entitled From Glack to Bunduff will be launched at Kinlough Community Centre by Nora Casey on next Friday night. This new book traces the often turbulent story of the region from the year 1000 to 1999 and charts the lives of chieftains, poets and priests and the thousands of ordinary people who lived in the area. The cover picture is Mac Clancys Castle by local artist Brigid Birney. The book is available locally or can be purchased on line at www.kinlough.net.

mountain walk: 
As part of the Gathering Weekend an Arroo Mountain Walk will take place on Sunday starting at the Community Centre at 2pm. Transport will be provided to Aughavohil from the Community Centre. Registration costs €5 and you can register any day up until then at Mc Gowans Supermarket or alternatively you can pick up a sponsorship card with proceeds going to Melvin Gaels GAA Club. Come along and enjoy the breathtaking views on your own doorstep.

GATHERING WEEKEND:
Many activities are planned for the next weekend for all the family. This is a weekend of festivities for all the people of the community as well as a “Mc Gowan Clan Gathering”. On the Friday the festivities begin with the Ecumenical Service in St Aidan’s Church, followed by the Official Opening by Norah Casey and Book Launch “From Glack to Bunduff” by Thomas Feeley as well as an exhibition of photos from down the years to include the ‘McGowan Clan’. Refreshments will be served. On Saturday there will be “An Olde Fair Day” in the village with entertainment and displays and much more for young and old. Everyone is invited to join in by dressing up Fifty Style or bringing along animals for show or crafts etc... There will be lots of activities including games, vintage shows, animals for the children and “sheep racing”. Anyone wanting to take a stall on 3rd August, the Fair Day, should contact Secretary Maureen Mc Gowan at 0876641694.That night there is a Variety Concert in the Community Centre with Music, Song, Dance and a Comedy Sketch all performed by Local Artists. Admission only €5. On Sunday there will be a Mountain Walk to the beautiful Arroo Mountain and Music with STONEFREE at the Community Centre at 5pm with a Barbecue. Over the weekend there will be lots of fun to suit all... Volunteers needed to help throughout the weekend. Meetings on Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m. Everyone welcome.

MELVIN GAELS LOTTO: 
The numbers drawn in the Melvin Gaels Lotto Draw held in Gilbrides, Rossinver on Sunday Night, July 15th were, 3,5,15 and 24. There was no Jackpot winner. Other winners were, €40 Siobhan Masterson, Letterkenny, Co Donegal, €20 each Sinead Crowell, Ashfield Drive, Belleek, Fr Thomas Keogan, Kinlough and Chris Nelis, Melvin Court, Kinlough. Next Draw in Mc Gloins, Kinlough on Sunday August 4th, Jackpot €1200.00
