Arigna Cemetery Sunday:
Cemetery Sunday takes place on July 28th at 1:30pm with Mass in Arigna Church followed by the blessing of the graves. Please note that there will be no 10:30am Mass next Sunday in Arigna. The format for “Blessing the Graves” will be the same as last year.

St. Asicus Social Service Centre, Keadue: 
Thanks to all who supported our church gate collections last weekend. Arigna €295.81, Ballyfarnon €88.34 and Keadue €76.60. Please note that we will be closing on Friday July 26th until Monday August 12th for annual leave.

St. Ronan’s Lotto: There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot when the draw was held last weekend. The numbers drawn were 1, 11, 17, 19. Consolation prizes were won by the following: €70 Tracey/Bernadette Duignan, Arigna, €30 Tess Flynn, Arigna, €15 each Paul Hennessy, Keadue, Hannah Gilchrist, Keadue, Cathal McManus, Keadue. The jackpot this week will be €8,600 and the draw will be held in McRann’s Bar, Ballyfarnon.

Arigna Quiz:
As part of the Arigna Gathering week, the Arigna Heritage Group are holding a table quiz in the Miners’s Bar on Wednesday July 31st starting at 9:30pm.

Irish Wheelchair Association collection taken up at Arigna Church on Sunday July 7th amounted to €254. Thanks to all who contributed.

Keadue Sports Field:
Family Fun Day Saturday August 3rd 2-5pm. Bouncy castles, face painting, carnival games, novelty races and much more. Admission €5 per child, max €20 per family.

Fundraising Walk/Run for Hospice Care and to help special needs children to Lourdes will take place on Friday August 2nd at 7pm. Registration at 6:30pm at Keadue Hall.

Festival Restaurant:
St. Ronan’s Food Hall will be open from Monday July 29th to August 5th. It will be run by Geraldine Gallagher, the owner of a local based catering company specializing in wholesome home cooking and a wide variety of home baking. Festival meeting on Monday July 22nd at 9pm.

The Save Our Planet Awards 2013 was launched recently. The awards scheme which has five different categories is designed to recognize the contribution made to the environment by people and organisations in the community. Alzheimer’s Society:
Thanks to all who contributed to the church gate collection in Keadue recently. The amount raised was E232.

O’Carolan Festival:
Arrangements for the staging of the O’Carolan Harp Festival and Summer School are almost complete. Shannonside FM will broadcast from Kilronan Castle on Wednesday from 9am to 1pm. Details of the programme of events will be announced along with interviews and entertainment by local musicians. Water Safety Classes:
Registration for Irish Water Safety classes at Drumshanbo Outdoor pool for the week of Mon. 29th July took place in Aras Phadraig on Wed. 17th July. Anyone who did egister may do so at pool gates  at 8.45am on Mon 29th July prior to commencement of classes.Full payment required on registration please.
