ANNADUFF GATHERING TOUR:
Des Guckian, who will lead the tour on Saturday morning 27 July, wishes to inform all who are interested about the plans that have been drawn up. A 50-seater McWeeney bus has been booked. All are requested to gather at the car park of St Mary’s, Annaduff, (opposite Notley’s Top O’The Hill) before 9.45, if possible. A seat costs 5 euro per person. Booking  is on first-come first-served basis. Already, there is a good interest. To book, phone Des at 071 9638397 or email dgucks@yahoo.com.Weather allowing, we may have to cross a few fields. Suitable footwear is a must for this. The time is short, so the tour will have to move along quickly with very little time for video recording. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated and it is hoped to make this a most interesting and enjoyable outing.

ANNADUFF PARISH GATHERING:
The above takes place this weekend Friday to Sunday 26th - 28th July (inclusive)- Friday 26th July. Welcome home evening with Fionnoula Maxwell & the talent of the Parish concert in Annaduff Community Centre commencing at 8.30 p.m.   Doors open 8 p.m.
Saturday 27th July - Historical tour of the top end of the Parish led by Des Guckian starting at 10 a.m.  (see above).
1 p.m. Lunch in Cox’s Steakhouse, Dromod.  Booking is advisable at 9638234.
2 p.m. The Francis Lynch Memorial Schools Football Blitz with various side shows at the pitch.   Also Boxty making and tasting.
8.30 p.m. - A Ceili Mor in Annaduff Community Centre.Sunday 28th July - Gathering Masses: 9.30 a.m. Special Mass in Drumsna (where we will be honouring 3 of our oldest citizens).
10 a.m. Gathering Service in St. Ann’s Church of Ireland, Annaduff.
11 a.m. - Gathering Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff.
7 p.m. Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff. Bishop Colm O’Reilly will bless the newly refurbished St. Mary’s Church with refreshments in Annaduff National School afterwards.
Sunday 28th July -   3 .30 p.m. at the Drumsna Community Centre, Historical Tour of the Village, with Noel Duignan.  Children’s tour of Fairyland with Patricia Reilly from the same location.
5 p.m. Fun & Drama from yesteryear with locals in the Drumsna Centre.  You might even meet the Rose of Tralee.   Light refreshments served.
10 p.m. Social Dancing in Duignans, Drumsna.

Autumn Tour:
Our 4 day Autumn tour takes place this year from Thursday August  22nd to Sunday August 25th incl. Coach pick up in Rooskey Thursday a.m and coach stays with us for duration of Tour which takes us around the Lakeland Counties of Fermanagh, Monaghan, and Cavan and possibly a tour guide with us all the time.  The cost is roughly €220 which includes 3 nights B & B, 3 dinners, coach pick up as near as possible to your house. Any little extras will be from your own purse.   No obligation on anyone to do only what they want to do (a great package)/   The tour Company Marathon are responsible for the money end of things so a deposit must be paid within the next week.    Enquiries & Bookings: Eileen 086 3702547.

Lough Derg Day Pilgrimage date changed:
Annual Day Pilgrimage to Lough Derg  now takes place on Sunday 15th September instead  Sunday 1st September. Bookings now being taken with a deposit of €40.  Contact Maura Ward at 9624353, Maura Faughnan at 9624540 or Irene Beirne at 9624351.

Masses in St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff as follows: Monday 7 p.m. followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament until 8 p.m.  Holy Hour Duty: Maura Ward, Irene Beirne, Annie Cox, Kathleen McWeeney : Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 a.m. Friday (No Mass), Saturday Vigil Mass 7 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m.  and 7 p.m.  -  Bishop Colm O’Reilly will celebrate Mass of Blessing of the newly refurbished St. Mary’s.

DRUMSNA C.C.E.:
We are holding a fumction in support of the Leitrim’s Rose of Tralee, Edwina Guckian, in McLoughlins, Drumsna on Friday 2nd August.   Admission optional. 

Parish Lotto:
The Parish and G.A.A. Lotto took place in McLoughlins’, Drumsna on Sunday.  The winning numbers were 8, 9, 15, 19.  There was no jackpot winner.   The following were our prize winners.   €50 was won by Maurice Shanley, Finnelaughta.  €25 prizes were won by:   Ross O’Shea, Annaduff Glebe, Ann Marie Cox, Dromod, Frank Reynolds, Curragha, Eslin Bridge, Patrick and Amanda Gilbane, Jamestown.   Congratulations to our winners.  Thanks to all who contributed.    A special thanks to Teasie and Tom for hosting the draw.   The next Lotto Draw will be held in Duignans’, Drumsna on Sunday 4th August with a jackpot of €5,000.
