Michael O’Ryan Gets the Pension:
Come along to the Joe Mooney Summer School in Drumshanbo on Wednesday 24 at 7pm sharp and witness poor old Michael O’Ryan getting the pension. Luke Early from Mohill will take the part of Michael O’Ryan while two new members of the County Leitrim Percy French performing group Monica Mahon (nee Creegan) from Kilglass & Karen Whitlow from Keshcarrigan will play the other parts. The build-up to Michael O’Ryan getting the pension is good fun and Luke does a great job. Percy French wasn’t just a great song writer but was also a great writer of many hilarious sketches. Like his songs, Percy’s sketches were based on his observations of everyday life.

Letter from the Front:
New member Edel Palmer from Mohill will make her debut with the County Leitrim Percy French performing group when she joins J.P. O’Dowd from Carrick-on-Shannon to perform the Percy French sketch ‘Letter from the Front’. This will be part of the Co. Leitrim Percy French Show at the Joe Mooney Summer School in Drumshanbo on Wednesday 24th. The show will take place in the Methodist Church in Drumshanbo at 7pm sharp and will be not exceed 2 hours with short interval.
