Diocese of Kilmore: In October 2014 the Diocese of Kilmore is holding an Assembly (a gathering of the bishop, priests and lay representatives from parishes) to discuss and take decisions on important issues facing the diocese.
As part of the preparation for this event we are seeking to hear from ordinary people on the ground about your hopes and concerns at present which will enable us to understand and plan the future work of parishes and diocese. The Diocesan Pastoral Council intends to gather small informal groups of people throughout the diocese to meet with a diocesan facilitator for a chat over a cup of tea about issues relating to life in Ireland today and what role you feel the Church plays in that. The views and ideas expressed in these groups will feed into the preparation for the assembly.
Your local Pastoral Council are asked to put together the following group for the survey: People Living Alone (Age 65+). We look forward to hearing from willing participants. Should you like to share your thoughts and views with the diocesan facilitator please contact the chairman of your local pastoral council on mobile 0868583648 or by email to kellykieran@hotmail.com.
