2nd Green Flag: Rooskey National School will be raising their 2nd green flag for energy awareness at 12.30pm approx on Wednesday, 19th June. This is a great event for the school and community and everybody is welcome, especially parents and past pupils.
Recent Death: Please pray for the repose of the soul of Ans Clyne (nee van den Berg), Clooneen, and formerly of the Netherlands whose funeral mass took place in Kilglass church on Saturday. May she rest in peace.
Trip to Dail Eireann: A visit to Dail and Seanad Eireann takes place on Tuesday, 25th of June. The train leaves Dromod station at 10am and returns at 5.05pm. Three course lunch in Leinster house at 14 euro a head, which can be paid for before the trip at the old school, Rooskey on Monday to Friday 10am-2pm. Tidy Towns: Preparation for 2013 Tidy Towns competition has commenced. Work will take place over the next number of weeks, painting mowing etc. Volunteers are needed to water flowerbeds during summer months. Thanks to all who supported our ten euro levy, more help is needed to help with the purchasing of flowers, petrol for mowers etc. Thanks for your support.

Gathering event: Well done to all those involved in the recent gathering event in the parish which was a great success and congrats to our neighbours in Kilmore on their very successful ‘gathering’ festival event last weekend.
