fundraising social: A fundraising social will take place on Saturday 22nd June in the Best Western Sligo Southern Hotel in aid of The Irish Pilgrimage Trust (Friendship Week) and the Fr. PJ Hughes Mission fund in Ecuador. Fr. PJ will be home on holidays from Ecuador and speak about his mission work. Music by the Jack Ramsey Band. Adm €10.

North West Vintage and Heritage Club run: The North West Vintage and Heritage Club run on Sunday, 23rd June in aid of the Fr. PJ Hughes Mission Fund starts in Manorhamilton at 12.30 and returns to the Community Centre in Glencar for refreshments.

Official Launch of Stories Across the Border Project: You are invited to attend the official launch of a CD Collection of stories, yarns and craic about border villages of Glenfarne, Blacklion and Belcoo and Belcoo Enterprise Centre, Thursday 20th June at 7:30pm. Entertainment and light refreshments will be provided. 
This project is funded by the European Union’s PEACE III Programme managed for the Special EU Programmes Body by Leitrim County Council on behalf of the County Leitrim PEACE III Partnership.

Rossinver Heritage and Cultural Festival: The First Rossinver Heritage and Cultural Festival taking place on Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July 2013 at the Sports Field, Strad-Connolly, Rossinver, County Leitrim (just past the parochial house). Events taking place include dancing, illustrated heritage talks, scenic walks, a heritage day with heritage arts and crafts, a community party and loads more. 
It’s going to be a great community event for people from Rossinver and neighbouring areas and from both sides of the border. Don’t forget to make a date in your diary for the weekend. Wedding Bells: Congratulations and best wishes to Michael McGourty and Evelyn Maguire who were married in The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Doobally, Dowra on Saturday 15th June last; also to Claire Cullen and Brendan Mc Keaney who were married at St Mary’s, Glenfarne on the same day. Wishing both couples every happiness and good luck.

Thank you: Thank you to Kiltyclogher Community Centre for the use of the hall for The Olde Tyme dances, while The Rainbow Ballroom of Romance is being refurbished.
