Tidy Towns: The village is looking very well, thanks to all the people who have cleaned and tidied and put out and cared for the plants and flowers. Everyone is asked to continue with the work and ensure that the village and surrounding areas continues to look well over the Summer. Care of Playing Fields in
Kinlough: In the interest of health and safety people are asked to keep their dogs of the playing fields. Thanks to the Community workers who have done such a great job of mowing and tidying the playing fields and surrounding areas.
Gathering Weekend in Kinlough: Planning is going well for the many activities are planned for the weekend of 2nd to 5th of August. On the Friday the festivities begin with the Ecumenical Service in St Aidan’s Church, followed by the Official Opening by Norah Casey and Book Launch “From Glack to Bunduff” by Thomas Feeley as well as an exhibition of photos from down the years to include the ‘Mc Gowan Clan’. On Sunday there will be a Mountain Walk and Music with STONEFREE at the Community Centre at 5pm. Over the weekend there will be lots of fun to suit all. More help is needed to assist with the activities. More people are needed to help with the activities over the weekend. A meeting will take place in the Community Centre on Wednesday June 26th at 8pm everyone welcome. Rossinver Heritage and Cultural Festival: The First Rossinver Heritage and Cultural Festival taking place on Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July 2013 at the Sports Field, Strad-Connolly, Rossinver, County Leitrim (just past the parochial house). Events taking place include dancing, illustrated heritage talks, scenic walks, a heritage day with heritage arts and crafts, a community party and loads more. It’s going to be a great community event for people from Rossinver and neighbouring areas and from both sides of the border. Don’t forget to make a date in your diary for the weekend. Cemetery Sunday In Kinlough: Cemetery Sunday takes place on 28th July, Old Cemetery at 3.30 p.m and St. Aidan’s Cemetery at 4.00 p.m.

AUTUMN CLASSES: Imagine, we are already looking at autumn classes in The Benwiskin Centre! If you would like to see a particular class held here let us know, we are always looking for new ideas. Or if you are a tutor, get in contact and tell us what you can teach. Again we always looking to update our tutor listings too.
VENUE HIRE & ACCOMMODATION: The Centre is getting busy now with summer bookings, but still plenty of nights to fill too! Keep us in mind if family are visiting and you need more space. Very good rates available.
LAUNDRY SERVICE: Not all the days have good drying! So if you need a help out with laundry, pop up to us in The Benwiskin Centre and we can do a wash & dry for you.
THE GATHERING: A special event is being held in Ballintrillick on Saturday July 27th - Townlands & People. Glenade Ballintrillick Tawley Gathering July 2013. It sounds like its going to be an amazing day! The Gathering Group have lots of things planned and some special guests too. Including John Watters who will be speaking at the event. Now as such a large event is being planned, Ballintrillick Environmental Group have decided not to hold their annual Summer Social and Family Funday and instead row in behind this group and help them however we can!
