Attempted knife robbery at Carrigallen shop

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in a shop in Carrigallen last Saturday, July 17.

The incident involved a youth entering a shop on Main Street, Carrigallen at 12.15pm on Saturday and producing a knife before demanding money from the cashier.

The youth fled the scene after the shop owner confronted him and the intruder is believed to have left in the direction of Mill Lane.

The young man is understood to be in his late teens or early twenties.
