Carrick Toastmasters to hold open night

Would you like to conquer your fear of speaking in public, enhance your communication skills, and develop your leadership potential? If you answer yes to any of these then Toastmasters is for you.

Carrick-on-Shannon Toastmasters are delighted to announce that we are holding an “Open Night” in the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon at 7.45pm on Monday the 21st January, 2013.

Please come along and bring a friend, admission is free and everyone is welcome. On the night you will find out all about Toastmasters, observe a meeting in progress, listen to some fantastic speeches and evaluations of same, and be highly entertained by a variety of table topics.

Carrick-on-Shannon Toastmasters meet in the Bush Hotel from 8-10pm on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month from September to June.

In the cut and thrust of today’s world the ability to communicate is vital, people who can express their ideas - so that they are listened to, understood and acted upon,- possess one of the most important elements of leadership. So what can Toastmasters do for you?

At Toastmasters you will become more confident, learn how to prepare a speech and enjoy speaking in public. You will learn how to think on your feet and be able to express your views clearly and confidently on any topic. You will be gradually encouraged if you wish to take on different roles at the meetings, this will improve your leadership capabilities and is something which you can then use to positive effect in your business or local community.

Toastmaster meetings are held in a warm friendly, non-judgemental atmosphere, where you will receive help and encouragement, at your own pace, from people who have benefitted enormously from Toastmasters themselves.
