Elderly man found dead in Carrick apartment

Gardai discovered the body of an elderly man who had not been seen for a number of weeks in an apartment in Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday, Thursday, February 9.

The man Michael Devan originally from Co Kerry was found dead in an apartment on Main Street, Carrick-on-Shannon. The body had not been discovered for a number of days.

Gardai told the Leitrim Observer the deceased’s family had not heard from Mr Devan in a number of weeks. The elderly man had been living in Carrick-on-Shannon for the last few years.

Gardai said there is no suspicious element to the death.
