Funding secured for Ballinamore Courthouse
Funding has been secured for a feasibility study of Ballinamore's historic Courthouse.
Ballinamore Development Company has secured funding to carry out a feasibility study on the historic Ballinamore Courthouse.
Leitrim County Council has advertised on etenders on behalf of the Ballinamore Development Association and following the evaluation process, Rhatigan and Company Architects Ltd were selected to carry out the study.
Work is expected to begin shortly on the building and property survey.
Councillors Gordon Hughes and Caillian Ellis have welcomed the news and congratulated the Ballinamore Development Association and Leitrim County Council for their work in progressing the study.
They said that it was vital a suitable use be found for the building to ensure that this historic site continued to remain a vibrant and useful part of the local community.
