Get in shape in five weeks with Aura Boot Camp Challenge

Aura Leitrim Leisure Centre has teamed up with energy drink Powerade to introduce a new outdoor Boot Camp which is tailor made to suit anyone who is prepared to step up to the challenge of getting into shape in just five weeks.

Aura Leitrim introduced its first Boot Camp last spring and the programme was so successful in attracting participants and in helping them to achieve their fitness goals that it is back by popular demand.

“The Boot Camp is an ideal way to exercise outdoors with friends with workouts taking place each Tuesday and Thursday night for five weeks. It provides an overall body workout helping people to lose weight, tone up and get fit quickly,” explained Siobhan Perry, Operations Manager at Aura Leitrim Leisure Centre.

“The workouts are a combination of gym and fitness classes focused on cardiovascular and muscle toning exercises to improve fitness, aid weight loss and to improve muscle strength and stamina,” Siobhan explained.

The Boot Camp gets underway on Tuesday, September 7 with one hour training sessions taking place each Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm. Each session includes a mix of press ups, squats, lunges, sit-ups, crunches, jogging and sprinting.

The Boot Camp caters for all abilities and costs p99 in full for the five weeks, with a 10% discount for Aura members. Early booking is advised as there are a limited number of places available. Those enrolling will also receive a free Powerade t-shirt.

Further information on the Boot Camp is available by visiting Aura Leitrim Leisure Centre at Attifinlay, Carrick-on-Shannon or by telephoning (071) 9671771.
