Trocaire thanks county for 40 years of support

Trocaire has thanked Co Leitrim for four decades of life-changing support, as it marks its 40th anniversary this month. The aid agency’s annual Lenten campaign begins today, Ash Wednesday, 13th February.

“For 40 years people of Co Leitrim have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the most vulnerable people in the world,” said Justin Kilcullen, Executive Director of Trocaire.

The people of Leitrim and the surrounding diocese of Kilmore, Ardagh and Clonmacnois donated a combined €381,678.02 to Trocaire’s Lenten campaign last year.
