Fracking deabte

Dear Madam, Peeling a sticker with the wording ‘no surrender’ and depicting a National Front flag, off my anti-fracking sign at Glenfarne, had me puzzled? Why would anyone want to deface the sign knowing the the strong local opposition to shale-gas mining now infamously known as ‘Fracking’. Obviously someone passing from outside the area had other opinions but for what agenda? Pro-fracking jobs perhaps? But most of the skilled workers would be brought in! cleaning up the inevitable toxic spillages?

Dear Madam,

Peeling a sticker with the wording ‘no surrender’ and depicting a National Front flag, off my anti-fracking sign at Glenfarne, had me puzzled? Why would anyone want to deface the sign knowing the the strong local opposition to shale-gas mining now infamously known as ‘Fracking’. Obviously someone passing from outside the area had other opinions but for what agenda? Pro-fracking jobs perhaps? But most of the skilled workers would be brought in! cleaning up the inevitable toxic spillages?

The only obvious explanation that would attract outside unskilled labour from across the border would be in security.

If this madness prevails much to the detriment of our ‘green image’ in farming and tourism, massive security would be required for the thousands of well heads promised by Tamboran. Security all paid for as in the Shell Rossport confrontation from the pre-tax profits thanks to our government’s largess.

As part of the anti-fracking movement we are making progress thanks to all those selfless people giving their time and a special thanks to all those ‘Blow-ins’ for their contribution, many of whom have come from areas heavily polluted due to man’s insatiable greed at the price of environment and health.

Yours etc.,
