The ESB has an initiative on ecars and is responsible for rolling out the charging infrastructure for electric cars across Ireland.

To accelerate the roll-out of this infrastructure ESB have announced that they will provide charging points to certified Ecolabel Hotels.

The Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon is the first Hotel in Ireland to receive the coveted EU Ecolabel Award recognizing exceptional environmental management and performance and will have a dedicated charging point provided in a designated bay in the Hotel‘s private car park.

The facility will be available free of charge to guests of the Hotel and will have a charge time of 6 to 8 hours – typically an overnight charge.

Appropriate signage and branded literature will be posted around the Hotel and the initiative will be integrated within the Hotel’s marketing activities.
