A 30 year old letter found on Lough Scur

A picture of the letter found

Did you write a note with some friends and set it out across the water 30 years ago?

A bottle with a page  torn out of black beauty book was found in Lough Scur over the weekend.

The letter is dated July 2nd 1985. The people who found the letter on the shore of the lake would love to get the note back to the original authors.

The names on the note are:  Fiona Gildea, Eugene Fitzpatrick, Gerald Gildea, Mel Fitzpatrick, Michelle Gildea  and Aidan Gildea.

Lough Scur outside Keshcarrigan is connected to the Shannon Erne, so the bottle could have been set out at any location along the canal network, 31 years ago.

So do you know the authors? Are you the original writers?
